Shawn Ballard

Born and raised in Brookfield, CT with a love for the outdoors and being creative through building from an early age. Shawn owned and operated a construction business for 15 years that focused on the restoration and renovations of many historic homes in the New England area. A dream opportunity to work with a timber frame barn company allowed Shawn to travel throughout the United States where he consulted and led local crews through the initial framing stage of dozens of timber frame structures. Projects including barns up to 40,000 sq. feet in size with beautiful details, such as sky high cupolas. His older brother’s Delaware beach wedding led to a chance meeting with his future wife, and ultimately relocating to the Lewes area. After a few years working for a local home builder, Shawn’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to start his own building company, with the goal of bringing timber frame style buildings to southern Delaware. When he’s not building projects for clients, Shawn enjoys relaxing at home with his wife and their continuously growing family of pets, building and creating his own custom projects, and loves a good road trip!
